Namaste! Welcome to the readme file for the Petition to the Honorable Ministry.

The purpose of the petition is to request that the Bureau of Indian Standards allow
and encourage Indian Standards to be more widely disseminated and promulgated so that
the public safety may be protected, the youth may be better educated, the professions
may be practiced, and trade may be promoted in India and abroad.

The petition consists of a main brief, 24 exhibits, and Annexures A through L.
Included with the Annexures are affidavits from prominent developers, engineers,
and others concerned with the promulgation of these important documents.

Your affidavit or declaration should cover the following points:

	1. State your name and address (office or home)
	2. State your educational attainments.
	3. State your current occupation and any relevant previous employment.
	4. State your scholarly attainments or awards.
	5. Explain how you do or would use Indian Standards, e.g., in your work.
	6. State any specific examples of how standards can be used.
	7. Perhaps state any broader implications of availability. 
	
We prefer that affidavits are notarized, or at least on some form of letterhead.
