This standard has been prepared by CEN/TC 252 ‘Child use and care articles’ (Secretariat: France).

The responsible German body involved in its preparation was the Normenausschuss Gebrauchstauglichkeit und Dienstleistungen (Performance Capability and Services Standards Committee), Technical Committee NAGD–AA 2.2–B Artikel für Säuglinge und Kleinkinder–Sitzen, Pflegen, Schützen, Liegen und Transportieren.

DIN 53519-1 and DIN 53519-2 are the standards corresponding to International Standard ISO 48 referred to in clause 2 of the EN.
